Leicester based five piece, Easy Life released their promising first single Pockets, which is a sincere “fuck you” to societies obsession with materialism and it’s greedy attitude towards consumption.
This feeling is likely inspired by the band having to cut financial corners in
order to focus on their music. They speak of using “musical keys” to unlock doors in an industry where profit can often be elusive, especially in the beginning.
Easy Life tap into the same laddish swagger as the likes of Jamie T in the verse before switching effortlessly into the bobbing melody of chorus. It’s relatable in that we all
know how it feels to have holes in our pockets when it comes to money.
An exciting young band with a fresh sound and something to say from the same city that brought us Kasabian, Mahalia, a Premier League trophy and much more, we think Easy Life fit in perfectly.
