Maxsta has been slowly and slyly dipping his waters back into the grime scene. Coming off the back of a hard EP with Maniac and Boothroyd, Maxsta has recently started showing his face again on sets, freestyles and features.
This time he’s not playing about; his last track Black Mask was a walk down a dark alley with matching production from Teddy Music (returning to his old alias Silencer) that showed off Maxsta’s pure lyrical ability and insight into where he’s been and where he comes from in grime. Before that was the chill and thoughtful homage to Dizzee Rascal in King Dizzee, released in the midst of a heated debate between the legendary grime MC and his longtime rival, Wiley.
If these tunes have taught us anything, it’s that Maxsta has his finger back firmly on the pulse of the current grime scene, and his new tune shows us how he does it.
With a wavy and forward thinking beat from Tre Mission, Maxsta and P Money both bring their A-game dropping bars about their accomplishments, and the way they move in life on Keep It Moving. Maxsta comes into his own on this song; he’s perfected his style and risen above the Kano and Ghetts comparisons that have plagued him up until recently.
