Following the news 6LACK announced earlier this month, that he was postponing his European tour in order to spend more time with his family and focus on his art, he has released three additional songs for the anniversary for Free 6LACK.
It seems that the Atlanta-based artist has no intention of letting his fans go hungry with the surprising release of these bonus tracks. Leaving himself the initial bonus track Glock Six, 6LACK links-up with Orange-County’s own Banks for the 2nd track In Between and leaves the best feature, the original auto-tune legend, T-Pain, for the last track, One Way. These features suit the songs – matching the context of the track and adding value to it – whether it is Banks handling the sombre chorus on her song, or T-Pain adding a poignant third verse.
The three tunes match 6LACK’s characteristic sound, and do not sound amiss amongst the track-list of his debut album, having a similar composition in terms of both production and lyrical content. They add to the story of him as an artist, helping the listener to understand how he may have felt and to provide an additional insight into the decision to postpone his tour.
