Vancouver based producer/DJ Nick Wisdom who built his reputation as one half of the Potatohead People and his many collaborations -with artists such as Illa J, Phife Dawg, Kaytranada, Moka Only, Pomo and many more – releases his first solo EP, Intimate Strangers.
Released via Brooklyn based label Bastard Jazz on September 15, the EP is a mix of disco, 80s boogie, and house flavours.
Kicking things off is Good Times, with a rollicking bassline and vocals courtesy of Mr. Wisdom himself. Following this, with its cosmic synths and sultry vocals of Reva Devito is Feeling Alright, veering into an outer space disco territory. Bringing an 80’s boogie vibe to the EP with vocals from San Francisco’s K-Maxx is Don’t Tell, and Rock The Cash Bar is all out rocking hip-hop jam.
Many of the prolific producer’s creations have landed placements with Netflix, Mercedes-Benz, Powerade & EA’s NBA LIVE 2K16, and more.
