Anne-Marie Returns With New Solo Effort ‘Heavy’

Written by Rahoul Naik

Anne-Marie is one of our favourite pop singers right now, from her work with Rudimental years ago to more recently appearing on Snakehips’ Either Way; the British songstress has gone from strength to strength.

Her latest offering comes in the form of a tropical pop vibe helped by production trio The Invisible Men who have also been responsible for other hits such as Sigala’s Say You Do and Jonas Blue’s By Your Side. The song definitely still carries a late summer vibe and features Anne-Marie coming to realise the negativity in a relationship.

Anne-Marie’s rise is one that has seen her tour with Rudimental, reach number 1 with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul with the ever-present Rockabye and more recently, tour with Ed Sheeran. The former Karaté World Champion is clearly always ready to throw a vocal punch or two and land a stomper single.

Although the singer has been in and out of our charts for some years now, her debut LP will be coming towards the end of 2017 via Major Tom’s Music and will feature hit singles such as Ciao Adios and the new Heavy.

We’re excited to see where Anne-Marie’s journey takes her next but for the time being, watch the lyric video for Heavy below and try stop yourself singing along!
