From Skin Tight to Bankulize, it is safe to say that Mr Eazi is very much becoming a household name in the UK and US, as well as his home countries of Nigeria and Ghana.
Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, Mr Eazi to you and me, has had an amazing career so far and it does not look like stopping since he signed to WizKid’s ‘Starboy Worldwide’ Label in May last year.
From the Accra To Lago EP, Leg Over has been a massive hit all over the world with the cool fusion of afro-beats, dancehall and a whole lot of awesome choreography. The original video, which features a bunch of women dancing brilliantly to the track, was produced by E-Lelly and directed by Teekay.
The original song is pouring with rigorous poetry and honesty which is backed by the introduction of French Montana and Dolla $ign on the remix. If we listen to it carefully he’s narrating a story about love, which is the greatest of all oppressions. Leg Over is a slang term for sex and this can be heard in the pre-hook “baby make you no dey rush me/ abeg make you treat me with caution”.
The addition of Major Lazer also makes this track a little more tropical than it was originally attended and much easier to drop at a club, so don’t be surprised if you hear this bouncing around the walls during Freshers.
Mr Eazi is currently preparing his ‘Life Is Eazi Culture Festival’ which will take place over the weekend at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. Mr Eazi has also confirmed a new Beats1 radio show, ‘Detty Radio’ which will mean we can hear much more from the artist on demand.
