Lil Wayne Is Back To His Best On ‘Like A Man’ With ONHEL

Written by Rahoul Naik

Lil Wayne is a stalwart of the rap and hip-hop game, entering and dominating the industry for a number of years. However, since things went sour with his adopted father, Birdman and his Cash Money outfit, Lil Wayne has been unable to drop his very long awaited Carter V.

Luckily for us, Wayne has been able to drop a litter of tracks over the last couple of years, including his newest effort, Like A Man which features ONHEL, a rather unknown producer but one who has worked with Kanye, Jigga and Tyler, The Creator.

Earlier this week it was uncovered that Martin Shkreli, yes the same one who has the Wu-Tang album, is now in possession of Wayne’s Carter V after acquiring an old car of his. Whether Shkreli decides to unleash the mammoth album on an eager fan base or not is tomorrow’s business, but this may force Cash Money’s hand.

The track itself is a fun vibe between electro-R&B and jazzy hip-hop with bits of funk and soul thrown in there for good measure. The beat allows Lil Wayne to really run his flows in between the individual beats and morph it into something special. Wayne’s lyrical ability also shines through and shows that even at his age, he is a force to be reckoned with.

This isn’t Tunechi’s only musical endeavour at the moment, with his feature on Ty Dolla $ign’s new track and also his new video for Loyalty dropping and bringing us some more classic Wayne.

We wil have to wait and see if Carter V will get a spin in 2017, but in the meantime check out Like A Man and Wayne’s new EP, In Tune We Trust.
