Laid-back, dreamy, dipped in a rose-tinted hedonism, and effortlessly groovy. All these descriptions apply to the newest release from the South London collective, A House In The Trees, which is aptly named Summertime.
The track acts as a teaser for their upcoming EP, What Am I Supposed To Do, which was recorded in The Rising Sun Pub in New Cross, an innovative studio where musicians can make music for free, lending to their recent track a distinctly DIY quality.
Summertime is the kind of track you would play in the evening sun, possible beach, possible roof-top bar, after either surfing on the Gold Coast or hugging the blossoming parks of London town. The trip-hop, downtempo aesthetics make it incredibly chilled, an piece of intricate easy listening. It’s safe to say that we are excited for their EP drop.
What Am I Supposed To Do will be released September 14th via Handsome Dad.
