Only Girl Returns With Summery R&B Track ‘Heights’

Written by Travis Martin

The soulful angel, Only Girl, is back with incredible brand new single Heights. The R&B track will be great for those summer chilled days with friends in the park, beach or even your back garden.

We are frequently hearing her music across many stages and sources of entertainment, she has featured across BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music (Lauren Laverne), XFM (Tom Robinson, John Kennedy & Jo Good), BBC Radio 2, Edith Bowman in ELLE, and online tastemakers including The Fader, Noisey, Red Bull, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit, The 405, DIY and now Frequency 21.

The single has motivational vibes within as it champions the feeling of being mentally elevated. The back snares and kicks brighten up your day with this inner joy it brings.

The last few months have seen the singer-songwriter collaborate with emerging Parisian producer Kultur, part of the Nowadays Records family, on ‘Love You Better’, which went on to reach over half a million streams on SoundCloud in just a few days. The pair are now working on a highly anticipated material for the producer’s upcoming EP, with Only Girl also spending fruitful studio time with long-term collaborators Zero 7.

Only Girl explained “This song started life in my studio as just two chords on the piano, looping round and round. I wanted to create a really dream-like, hazy vibe to the track to convey that feeling of being with someone who lifts you up and gives you that sense of elation and strength; those support figures in our life who we reach out for when we feel broken.”

With powerful performances at Glastonbury, The Great Escape, a support slot on BROODS’ UK tour and previous sold out headline shows at London’s Electrowerkz and The Courtyard Theatre under her belt, Only Girl has announced her largest headline show to date at The Borderline on Thursday 23rd November, presented by DHP Family.
