The talented producer Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, has released a new track ‘Two Thousand and Seventeen’.
The track debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, where it was also revealed that Four Tet had been working on new music for the past 10 months. Hopefully this means that we are in store for another extended project, his last being 2015’s Morning/Evening.
Two Thousand and Seventeen itself is really quite beautiful. An intricate but not over-the-top piece of chillwave, similar to the stuff you can find on Bonobo’s Black Sands. The thing that really stands out and captivates about this track is the glorious use of dulcimer, which encapsulates the underlying beats in a refreshing symphonic sound.
