Sälen Return With Alt-Pop Goodness On ‘So Rude’

Written by Carina Ly

London trio Sälen are back on the scene with their latest single So Rude a follow up to their recent cut Pretty, Fake. It premiered exclusively on Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio 1 last night.

During the show, the band talked on the single, stating, “So Rude was written pretty fast. It’s about those relationships that you can’t live with or without, the person annoys you so much but you love them.” Sonically speaking, the trio used catchy and fun instrumentals, which will definitely stick with you.

The band have a bunch of live dates planned, including Lovebox which will be held this year in Victoria Park on the 14th July.

The band have also announced a special show at London’s Ace Hotel in Shoreditch on 30th July, with a line-up featuring HAAi, Crack Stevens, James Messiah, Toast Collective, Olly Rant and Narx from Neverland Clan.

Sälen have also ventured out in creating their own personal Zine titled ‘Umami’ which is full of photos of all the goofy things they get up to in their daily lives. The Zine will be available this summer.
