Joy Crookes Has A ‘Bad Feeling’ On New Single

Written by Dorica Santos

Singer-songwriter, Joy Crookes, find the humour in life’s hardest moments with her latest track, Bad Feeling, which will feature on her upcoming debut EP.

Written by the young Londoner and produced by Tev’n, the track becomes a hip-moving and soul perfection sound to your ears; “the kind of sound that blew up a post-fugees Lauryn Hill.” Tev’n is notable for his tracks with artists such as Celeste and Lily Allen, making it clear why he and Joy work well together.

Last year saw Joy establish a luxurious signature sound via two low-key releases, Sinatra and New Manhattan, which received praises from The Fader, CLASH, MV and widely across Hype Machine, alongside big slots of Spotify and Apple Music.

For an 18 year old, Joy is super cool and mature, in both her voice and fashion, even Brooklyn Beckham is a fan! To be honest, it’s not hard to be. Her bold visual aesthetic, powerful lyrics and sophisticated modern pop sound are proof of this striking new talent’s deep and longstanding obsession with music. Joy is set to perform at Bushstock Festival in London this weekend and several other live performances.

But for now, check out her fun well-shot music video below featuring musicial extraordinaire Kojey Radical.
