The self-titled ‘best looking fat guy in the world’ and the ‘people’s prince’, Charlie Sloth has dropped the first single, #FameGame (featuring Bugzy Malone), from his debut album, The Plug.
Charlie Sloth has been in the UK hip-hop and rap game for a very long time, most of our teenage and adult life. Over that time he has been a leading light in the UK urban scene alongside the likes of Trevor Nelson, DJ Target and DJ Semtex.
For a long time, Charlie has been making his own music as both a producer and an MC for a long time, with music dating back 2008 on Spotify in the shape of Champion but his first mixtape was released all the way back in 2004. Sloth’s Hood Heat mixtapes were also very well received in 2014 and 2015.
The new single is a strong hip-hop track that really shows Bugzy Malone’s ability to take his flow and creativity to a new sphere. You can really hear Sloth’s signature bits in his beat from ad-libs to trilly hi-hats and the baby voice introduction.
After producing Of Course on Giggs’ Landlord album, we may see Charlie play around with styles and genres on his debut project.
