The line-up and ticket information has been released for the upcoming One Love Manchester concert which will be taking place on Sunday at Emirates’ Old Trafford.
The concert was planned as a tribute to those who lost their lives in last week’s suicide bomb attack at Manchester Arena during an Arianna Grande concert. Salman Abedi was identified as the perpetrator, a young 23 year-old man who has shown that we as a country and Manchester will never be broken.
Musicians such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell, Usher, Justin Bieber, Niall Horan and Coldplay will be joining Arianna on stage this Sunday and there are rumours that the likes of Oasis may even be reuniting for a one-off performance together.
Tickets are priced at £40 with them going on sale earlier this morning via Ticketmaster as well as free tickets for those who attended Ariana’s concert last week; as long as they registered last night. There have been several worries and problems around tickets, reselling and registering, however both Ariana’s camp and Ticketmaster have confirmed they will be keeping a keen eye on it.
The concert is expected to attract around 50,000 people (over twice that of the capacity at the Manchester Arena) and it will also be watched by many more on BBC. Shows such as Britain’s Got Talent have had to be moved to avoid clashes.
Understandably, many still feel uneasy about returning to Manchester for an even bigger music event, however we hope that many will see the merit of continuing to enjoy live music and enjoying our free will in the face of fear and terror spread by a very small group of people.
