Miller Blue is a 20 year old singer/songwriter hailing from Shropshire and until recently, the singer has been making music and his debut EP, Persistence, in his bedroom. However, upon the signing to Lemon Records, to join anther of our favourites James Vickery, Miller’s sound has been elevated massively.
The new single, Pieces, is a blast of emotion and electronic beats behind the raw and distinct voice of Miller. We’d expect this to be somewhere on the ‘late night chills’ playlist on your streaming service of choice as Miller’s voice puts you into a bit of a trance over the chorus.
The singer has a slight Rag’n’Bone Man twang which is interesting and unique to the electro-R&B and alt-R&B scenes. With influences like James Blake, Chet Faker, The Fugees, Frank Ocean and Nas, it is easy to see where Miller puts these on his vocals, emotion and some melodies too.
The artist is also no stranger to rapping on his songs; his Facebook description describing his music which “has an eclectic sound blending soulfully subdued vocals and refreshing melodic raps with electronically driven instrumental elements of Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Pop.”
