Wanna feel ethereal? Sigur Rós can help you in more ways than one.
The anthemic Icelandic post-rock band have unveiled their own brand of cannabis-infused gumdrops, after teaming up with the brand Lord Jones, a company that manufactures and distributes the ‘world’s finest cannabis infused products’. The gumdrops will be called ‘Wild Sigurberry’, described in a press release as “Inspired by the flavours of foraged Icelandic berries – wild blackberries, strawberries and blueberries – the collaborative ‘Wild Sigurberry’ gumdrops include a proprietary formulation of terpenes available in 5 dosage options: five, ten and twenty milligram THC infused, Lord Jones’ signature 5:1 ratio CBD to THC formulation, and a pure CBD option.”
To launch the intriguing and some would say, controversial product, Sigur Rós and Lord Jones will be hosting a sound-bath at Hollywood’s NeueHouse on Tuesday April 18 so that band-fans and cannabis-enthusiasts alike can come and experience something well, very Sigur Ros.
The band have been quite quiet since releasing their seventh album, 2013’s acclaimed Kveikur, although did debut a new single Óveður last year at Primavera Sound. They also have an upcoming UK tour, the dates of which can be found here:
