The five Grammy award winning singer Lady Gaga has finally addressed speculation and has told the world that she did indeed sign up to perform on February 5th 2017 at the 51st Super Bowl, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The Super Bowl is the most watched event on US television, drawing in over 100 million viewers. No pressure. The advertisers will pay millions in order to secure a 30 second commercial advert.
She broke the news via twitter:

This won’t be her first time singing at the Super Bowl, for Super Bowl 50 she sang the national anthem.
The Super Bowl has seen some huge acts before. Past halftime performers include Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson with Justin Timberlake, the Rolling Stones, Madonna and Beyonce who performed in 2013 (which resulted in a Destiny’s Child reunion.) Adding to that last year’s performance of Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, no one can deny that Gaga has got some pretty big boots to fill but we have no doubt she’ll put on a good show.
The show will air on the 5th February 2017 on FOX.
